Vancouver: World’s Most Livable City

June9

In response to a friend’s post of this article (Thanks, Suresh!) I felt that it reminded me of why we decided to move away from Vancouver. Oh, and Suresh, even the nightlife here in Zhuhai is way more bountiful than Vancouver, a city less structured, developed and metropolis than Vancouver. I also want to point out, that this poll must have had an average income in mind for such living as easy, one needs to be making say $35,000CDN for this to be relevant. Of course, in the end, it all depends on what your ‘wants and needs’ are and whether the city’s majority’s values hold the same as yours.

A recent article by the Vancouver Sun enlightened me to a world poll on which are the world’s easiest to hardest cities to live. Read article.

Here’s a better look at how Vancouver stands and why it was chosen, over at Wikipedia.

This is why I find it hard to live elsewhere without comparing it to Vancouver in terms of ease of living, and feel stuck or limited at times when we don’t have access to what we once had. But this is also why we decided to move away for a challenge, life was easy in Vancouver, and it got boring.
